First Nation, Metis & Inuit Games & Activities Directory for Children & Youth (ALIGN)

In honor of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, ALIGN hopes to encourage both Indigenous and non-Indigenous children and youth alike to learn more about Indigenous culture through fun and play.

One of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s key recommendations is that all Canadians learn the true history of Indigenous Peoples on Turtle Island. ALIGN’s Games and Activities Directory offers a meaningful way for children and youth to begin this learning journey through engaging and culturally rich activities.

ALIGN’s Indigenous Games & Activities directory for children and youth is free to download and is packed with links to First Nation, Metis and Inuit online activities, video games, board games, outdoor games, online coloring pages and more!

Both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous children and youth alike will enjoy these games and activities and benefit from gaining a further understanding of Indigenous culture and traditions through play.

We encourage agencies and caregivers to share this free Indigenous Games & Activities pdf directory with children and youth of all ages, as well as with families, friends, teachers, and community members. By doing so, we can support Indigenous children and youth in care in learning more about their traditions and culture, while also encouraging non-Indigenous children and youth to deepen their understanding of Indigenous culture and traditions, fostering respect, appreciation, and lifelong allyship.
