Are you interested in providing a temporary, stable, loving home to children in care. Foster caregivers are needed in every corner of Alberta, whether you live in a city, a small town or in a rural community. Foster caregivers can be single or have a partner, be already raising their own families, have no children, or be retirees whose children have grown and left home.
Foster caregivers are part of a team that supports the best interests of the child – they are mentors, caregivers, role models and support systems who will provide a temporary family environment for a child or youth in care.
In addition to the Government of Alberta’s foster and kinship options, many accredited community agencies across the province are also actively recruiting and supporting foster caregivers.
If you would like to explore fostering through a local agency or learn which Foster Care Agencies operate in your area, please contact ALIGN Mailto:info@alignab.ca and we will help connect you!
