CSA Group is inviting public comment on the draft of CSA/ASC Z1003, Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace – Prevention, promotion, and guidance (New Edition) (December 16, 2025)

  • Purpose: The standard provides voluntary guidelines, tools, and resources for organizations to promote mental health and prevent psychological harm in the workplace.
  • Approach: It specifies requirements for a documented and systematic approach to develop and sustain a psychologically healthy and safe workplace.
  • Key elements: The standard helps organizations address factors that contribute to a psychologically healthy workplace, such as organizational culture, support, leadership, and respect.
  • Voluntary nature: While voluntary, it can become a part of legal requirements depending on provincial or territorial regulations.
  • Previous version: The current version is CAN/CSA-Z1003-13 (R2018), and the new edition will be the replacement.
