2025 Federal Election: Make your priorities known (Inclusion Alberta)

Inclusion Alberta encourages every Albertan 18 years and older, including those with intellectual disabilities, to participate in the federal election and exercise their right to vote on election day, April 28, 2025.

This is an ideal time to impress upon the candidates in your riding the need for them and their parties to consider the interests of children and adults with intellectual disabilities and their families. Together with Inclusion Alberta’s partners in the Inclusion Canada federation, they are calling on all political party candidates to learn about our priorities and commit to improving the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

Candidates and their parties are interested in obtaining every vote possible, so do not hesitate to reach out to the candidates in your riding to let them know what federal issues are important to you and your family, and to ask them where they and their party stand on supporting them.

Inclusion Alberta is sharing an “Advocacy Toolkit” developed by Inclusion Canada and adapted by Inclusion Alberta for our province, that includes practical advice, suggestions on which priorities are most relevant in our province, and template letters to effectively communicate with your local candidates.
