Alberta.ca New Supports for Foster Caregivers Oct. 2023
Alberta.ca Investing $23.6 million - starting Nov. 30, 2023 Alberta’s government will begin paying the daily skill fee or special rates to foster caregivers caring for Transition to Adulthood Program participants who are 18 years or older. This $16.7-million initiative will help more foster caregivers provide mentorship, support and stability for vulnerable young people at a critical juncture in their lives.
Alberta's Historic Agreement to Support First Nations Child and Family Well-Being Services (C-92)
Over the next five years, the agreement will transfer $149.4 million from the federal government to the FFNs to support their law implementation.

Alberta announced a $330 million boost for the province's social sector as part of the UCP's 2023 budget. The money will be invested over the next three years and will be used to fund raises for front-line social service workers and increases for administration funding.
