Educational Institution – Human Service Program

Serve children and youth 0 – 17. Typically these are individuals who are experiencing a variety of social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties because of abuse and neglect. These are children and youth who need professional support and can benefit in a home outside their family

Mountain Plains Community Services Society of the North operates several community and family based programs in Peace Country.

Multicultural Health Brokers Cooperative is a unique workers cooperative created and run by Cultural Brokers (community health workers) in Edmonton. Since 1998, MCHB Coop has been providing holistic culturally & linguistically relevant family support to thousands of families from countries all over the world. Also, as Cultural Brokers we are the relationship facilitators between the families and our colleagues within the human and health services sector. This leads to trusting relationship that result in equitable access and learning on both sides. We are honoured to be able to provide intercultural competency learning to colleagues in throughout the human services sector through our “Journeys to Intercultural Wisdom and Equity Program”.

Nightwind Treatment Centre (NWTC) serves youth ages 12 to 22. We offer a number of trauma-informed programs to support youth who are experiencing challenges. Through daily living, recreational activities and individual and group counselling, we believe that each youth can acquire the skills necessary to move on and be able to contribute productively in society. We work with each individual youth, their caseworker and their family (when appropriate) to develop a plan which will aid them in achieving their individual goals and planning for their future.

NorQuest College is a publicly funded, post-secondary institution offering full-time or part-time credit and non-credit programs and continuing education

The Oak Hill Boys Ranch is a residential treatment program for emotionally and behaviourally troubled children and adolescents.
