LEAD Foundation provides a developmentally appropriate, activity-based, family-focused program to support children diagnosed with developmental disabilities.

In the two-year Child and Youth Care program you’ll learn how to enhance the development of children, youth and families, working from a developmental, ecological and strength-based perspective, emphasizing the interaction between people and their physical, social and cultural environments. Through a blend of theory and hands-on experiences, you’ll learn how to reach out to those who are struggling and make a difference in the lives around you.

Little Warriors is a national, charitable organization based in Alberta. We are focused on the awareness, prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse. We also advocate on behalf of and with child sexual abuse survivors.

Little Whispers Respite Services is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality, and individualized support to children, youth, and families in need, primarily to the Tsuut’ina Nation. They specialize in offering safe, nurturing environments through respite care, transportation services, and family reunification support, including to those with disabilities. Their mission is to foster healing, stability, and reconnection, one family at a time.

When children, youth and their families experience trauma, abuse, neglect or a significant loss, they need support to set a course for a positive future. The Child and Youth Care program at MacEwan University provides students with the knowledge and skills to help individuals and families navigate mental health challenges, addiction, education, poverty, barriers to communication or family conflict. Students learn to build relationships with individuals and families, helping them to gain new insights, access supports and learn strategies for navigating the complexities of their lives.
