An accessible, innovative, progressive, inclusive, responsive organization.  Through strong partnership development, mulit-generational & multi-cultural involvement, the Centre is utilized by individuals and families who live, work, or go to school in the North of McKnight Communities.

Northwest Central FASD Network

Jasper, Hinton, Edson, Barrhead, Westlock, Whitecourt, Slave Lake, Swan Hills, Athabasca, First Nation’s Communities of: Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, Wabasca / Desmarais, Swan River, Sawridge, Loon River, Peerless & Trout Lakes.

The Northwest Central Alberta FASD Assessment and Diagnostic Services provides community-based FASD assessment and diagnostic services and intervention planning for children and adults prenatally affected by alcohol exposure in the Network’s region.

The Oak Hill Boys Ranch is a residential treatment program for emotionally and behaviourally troubled children and adolescents.

Opokaa’sin Early Intervention Society

Opokaa’sin Early Intervention Society is an Indigenous child and family organization designed to provide support services to Aboriginal children and families in Southern Alberta.

P.A.C.E Sexual Assault and Trauma Center

Grande Prairie
P.A.C.E. which stands for Providing Assistance, Counseling, & Education provides a variety of services in the Grande Prairie community & area, including crisis intervention, family support, educational workshops, and counseling services involving sexual abuse, sexual assault, child abuse, and trauma. P.A.C.E. believes that everyone dealing with, or experiencing crisis and trauma has the right to access skilled, caring, and professional services.

Parent & Caregiver Support Services (PCSS)

The new Parent & Caregiver Support Services (PCSS) is a program under the Government of Alberta’s Family Resource Network (FRN) model.  The PCSS team provides a variety of free, community-based resources, services, and learning opportunities, specifically designed for parents and caregivers with children ages 0-13.

Pathways Family Services

Pathways Family Services provides care to children from across Alberta. In addition to the foster care program Pathways operates a Home Assessment Program which is designed to determine suitability of families for foster care, kinship care, adoption and private guardianship.

Red Deer Urban Aboriginal Voices Society

UAVS is Red Deer’s Indigenous governance structure. Leading through cultural ways, UAVS amplifies the voices of Indigenous people to take community action on important matters. We work collaboratively and cooperatively amongst ourselves, with governments and other organizations on issues and priorities affecting our community in Red Deer.

Renascence Homes Association

Renascence Homes operates two group homes in a rural setting near Gibbons, AB. The specific criteria for the clients is that they are male and FASD. The group homes are based on a parented model of care. One group home is for 8 – 12 year old boys, and the other group home is for 13 – 16 year olds. The program involves a substantial amount of outdoor physical activities; some opportunities for work experience; regular spiritual and cultural participation; collaboration with Sturgeon School Division in providing positive educational experiences; and, a caring, nurturing family atmosphere.

Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton


The SACE Public Education team empowers individuals and communities to take action against sexual violence. To accomplish this, SACE delivers presentations, workshops and seminars, distributes brochures, and attends community events.

Sifton Family and Youth Services

Sifton Family and Youth Services provides an eight bed 24-hour broad-based treatment program for young people with behavioural and or emotional problems and has expertise in the treatment of youth who are sexually intrusive. Sifton also provides a two-bed Secure Services program and an Outreach program (TRAC) working with high risk youth in Lethbridge.

Skills Society

Skills Society provides support services to children and adults with developmental disabilities and  survivors of acquired brain injury, and their families.

Smoky Lake Family Resources

Provide opportunity for caregiver education and other programming focusing on child development, asset building, parenting, and strengthening family bonds. Home visitation program provides one on one parenting strategies to promote positive parent-child relationships, increase parenting knowledge and skills, foster healthy pregnancies and child development, help families identify and access formal and informal supports and services, assist in the identification and pursuit of family goals. Working collaboratively with families to build caregiver confidence in their ability to meet their children’s needs. Supports may focus on healthy relationships, attachment, and positive discipline, mentoring, life skills, and child development.

South Region Parents as Teachers Society

Provide parent education through home visits and group programs to support families with the growth and development of their children zero to five years of age. They conduct appropriate follow-up referrals and connect families to community resources to support the ongoing growth and development of children

SPEC Association For Children And Families (The)

SPEC provides supportive, preventive, educational and counselling services for children and families. SPEC is focused on the positive development of kids by providing a continuum of services from early intervention (prevention) to high intervention during crisis. By providing family support services, SPEC continues to focus on a variety of preventive and educational programs that promotes a caring and committed community where kids are resilient and valued.

Spirit Of Our Youth Homes Inc.

All programs are offered in Edmonton and serve youth from all over the Province of Alberta
Fee for Service agency providing quality services and programming to First Nations, Métis and Inuit children and youth ages 3-23 years. Their clients are children, youth and families in need of support who are experiencing  developmental and emotional issues, abuse, mental health concerns, abandonment and addictions. 

We are a collection of allies – a unified community of agencies that represents the diverse needs of Alberta’s children and families. We are proud to champion the work of our front line service providers and to support our members. Together, we are stronger.
