With over 40 years of experience, Heritage Family Services has been a pillar of support for children and families in Central Alberta providing Group and Foster Care Services.

The Hope Resource Centre provides support to individuals affected by family violence and relationship abuse. They provide confidential supports to women, men, children and elders impacted by violence and/or abuse. It is their goal to create safe and healthy futures filled with dignity, hope and purpose for every individual.

Hull provides an integrated continuum of services including specialized therapy, counselling and education, helping children, youth, young adults and families who experience emotional and psychological disorders, behavioural problems, learning disabilities, mental illness, developmental delay, neglect and abuse, and family breakdown.

Kids Kottage is passionate about providing crisis care for children who are at risk of being harmed. When a family is in crisis – so are the children. They are too often the hidden victims. Kids Kottage stands in the gap – protecting children and supporting families

Kindred Connections Society provides support services in educational and community environments that combine learning opportunities, early childhood, counselling, school-based programming and volunteerism

LEAD Foundation provides a developmentally appropriate, activity-based, family-focused program to support children diagnosed with developmental disabilities.

In the two-year Child and Youth Care program you’ll learn how to enhance the development of children, youth and families, working from a developmental, ecological and strength-based perspective, emphasizing the interaction between people and their physical, social and cultural environments. Through a blend of theory and hands-on experiences, you’ll learn how to reach out to those who are struggling and make a difference in the lives around you.

Gateway Holistic is more than a service it’s a commitment to dignity, structure, and compassion for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. Their mission is to create spaces where individuals can thrive mentally, socially, and physically, supported by a professional team and meaningful community partnerships.

When children, youth and their families experience trauma, abuse, neglect or a significant loss, they need support to set a course for a positive future. The Child and Youth Care program at MacEwan University provides students with the knowledge and skills to help individuals and families navigate mental health challenges, addiction, education, poverty, barriers to communication or family conflict. Students learn to build relationships with individuals and families, helping them to gain new insights, access supports and learn strategies for navigating the complexities of their lives.
