Our Children Our Way creates space for presenters and participants to share promising approaches and grounded practices that strengthen the well-being of Indigenous children, youth, families, and communities.
By bringing together voices from across the Nation, this forum highlights key insights in practice, policy, community healing, operational development, and the exercise of jurisdiction. Together, we aim to support the growth, innovation, and resurgence of Indigenous child and family services rooted in self-determination.
ALIGN will co-present with Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society: “Parallel Process: The Link Between Practice as Ceremony in Service Delivery and the ALIGN Well-Being Toolkit.”
This session will:
- Explore the alignment between Bent Arrow’s Practice as Ceremony model and ALIGN’s Toolkit
- Emphasize relational practice, cultural identity, and community self-determination
- Use storytelling and practical tools to demonstrate how ceremony and Indigenous worldviews can be integrated into everyday service delivery
