The Nonprofit Chamber’s Written Submission for the Pre-Budget Consultations in Advance of the 2025 Alberta Provincial Budget

In advance of the 2025 provincial budget, organizations can submit letters or reports outlining their budget priorities. The Nonprofit Chamber’s outlines how essential nonprofits are in making Alberta a great place to live, work, and play. With Alberta’s growing population and rising inflation nonprofits are facing increased demand but resources are not keeping pace.

The Nonprofit Chamber’s submission uses data from the Facing the Storm State of the Sector Report and our recent interactive budgeting tool. With Alberta’s growing population and rising inflation nonprofits are facing increased demand but resources are not keeping pace

The Nonprofit Chamber’s requests:  

  1. Increase the CIP budget to $67 million in budget 2025/26.   
  2. Increase the CFEP budget to $86 million in budget 2025/26.   
  3. Commit to indexing these programs to growth + inflation.
