Virtual Opioid Dependency Program For Adolescent, Group Care and Emerging Adult Populations.

There has been mention of Children’s Services expanding the Alberta’s Virtual Opioid Dependency Program (VODP) to the group care sector. Messaging regarding the use of suboxone as a critical life-saving and safety promoting strategy is certainly become more pronounced, particularly for adolescent and emerging adult populations. At Hull Services they noted they continue to work more lately with both the virtual and in-person opioid dependency programs, with consultation happening more with the virtual, and direct service considerations with the program out of the Sheldon Chumir Health Centre. ALIGN will keep you posted with any new developments or resources in regards to expanding VODP to the group care sector or any related resources.
