I’m pleased to share news with you about the release of a plain language version of the PDD Transformation Steering Committee report and the FSCD program review What We Heard report. The ministry appreciates all the contributions you and the organizations you represent made to the development of these reports. Please share the public reports with your contacts and other interested parties.
PDD Transformation
A joint department-community Steering Committee was established in October 2020 to co-create advice for the Minister and inform options for PDD transformation. Input provided by Albertans during the 2018/2019 PDD program review and other stakeholder engagements informed the Committee’s work.

Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) steering committee report
The FSCD program was reviewed from July 2020 through May 2021. The intent of the review was to identify opportunities to increase program sustainability, and enhance and modernize service delivery. The What We Heard report presents a thematic summary of stakeholder feedback received during the review and ideas for program improvement.
