ALIGN Update Regarding Disability Services PQR 2022

Disability Services PQR 2022

We would ask for your support to share information about PQR 2022 with service providers in the disability sector.

On November 30, 2021, Community and Social Services (CSS) opened three new Pre-Qualification Requests (PQRs). Service providers can apply under one or more of the new PQRs in order to qualify as a Qualified Service Provider (QSP). Only QSPs are eligible for contracting work with CSS under the scope of the respective PQR.

Service providers whose CSS agreements end March 31, 2022 can apply under the new PQRs in order to qualify as a QSP by February 28, 2022. Failure to qualify by this date will disrupt services to clients and may jeopardize the provider’s ability to enter into a new agreement effective April 1, 2022.

The services under contracts with Alberta Brain Injury Initiative (ABII), Community Access for People in Continuing Care (CAPCC), Community Disability Support Services (CDSS), and the Unmet Needs Initiative fall outside the scope of the new PQRs. If these contracts expire on March 31, 2022, it is recommended that new contracts be put into place prior to the expiry of the current Master Agreement under the old PQRs, which is February 28, 2022. Contract and Procurement Specialists will connect with service providers to support this work.

The new PQRs are posted on the Alberta Purchasing Connection and will remain open until February 2026. We encourage service providers to review the reference and submission documents for each PQR and submit their application early. PQRs include:

–       AB-2021-06692: Supports For Persons With Developmental Disabilities (“PDD”)
–       AB-2021-06697: Family Support For Children With Disabilities (“FSCD”)
–       AB-2021-06696: Assessment And Consultation

Service providers can find more information about the new PQRs, the submission process, and next steps for QSPs in a slide deck that will be made available on the Alberta Purchasing Connection starting next week. The slide deck is also available through this Google Drive link.

Service providers who have questions about the new PQRs can contact CSS.CPO@gov.ab.ca or their Contract and Procurement Specialist.
