Alberta Education Guidance: Return to Remote Learning Education
Exc erpt Supporting students with disabilities
All students with disabilities who require support and services in any grade and students in outreach programs  can continue to receive supports and services in-person at school, regardless of the shifts to at-home learning before and after the winter break. This exemption for in-person learning was based on the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health in consultation with parents, schools are expected to continue to provide students with disabilities with services and support they need.
Parents should work with their teacher and school principal on appropriate arrangements.

ALIGN Call for Contributions – Special Issue Journal focusing on “COVID-19: Overcoming the Threat in Child Welfare Settings.”
W e invite you and your colleagues to submit an article (2000 to 5000
words) to share your creative COVID solutions with a broader audience. As
we move through the stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, agencies, consultants, and
child welfare professionals in the community-service sector have developed
processes, overcome challenging situations, and develop unique, innovative
solutions for dealing with the threat. Deadline Dec 21, 2020

Child Welfare and Pandemics Litere Public Health Agency of Canada, the Child Welfare League of Canada has partnered with the Canadian Consortium on Child and Youth Trauma and the Canadian Foster Family Association to promote trauma-informed and equity focused responses to child maltreatment that encourage social inclusion, and connections to family, community and culture, mental health and child safety.
